Made my way from Peyton, Colorado to Harlan, Iowa on my 32nd birthday in memory of my grandfather Harlan Ingvalson. I remember spending my 31st birthday with grandpa as he was dying.
Cheers to a good man who served his country in the Korean war, raised 5 kids, loved his wife, ran his dairy farm, loved to polka, and was always whistling. Miss you Grandpa!
Low high weather 56-92 degrees
Wear- indian jacket, chaps, sweatshirt, HD footwear boots
States- 4 (Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa)
Dumb drivers- semi driver who pulled in front of me with out signaling. He was smoking a cigarette and reaching down by his feet. I hope he felt my furry from behind my helmet.
Oh shit moment – my shift lever falling off as I exited the interstate. Fixed it at the next town with a 5/16 bolt, 13 mm wrench, and electrical tape.
Music – pink
Best view- Riding over Harlan Lake as I crossed from Kansas into Nebraska
Fun you go girl moment- a women walked into a gas station with her husband. She stopped and told me she loved my bike. Then she turned to her husband and said ‘See, I told you it was a girl’
